WHEN A CHILD WON'T EAT!!!!!!!
Meal times becomes more difficult as toddlers grow.
This tend to happen as they gain independence and develope personalities.
Although this could be very frustrating for a parent,
It is a normal phase in a toddler development.
Will be sharing some ways to cope;
1. Be a good role model; Eat the foods you are encouraging them to eat.
2. Prepare for a messy meal time;
Don't expect much food to get into their mouth at once.
Bit by bit.
3. Make meal fun; Pancakes could be made in shapes, plantain could be fried in different shapes for easy finger foods.
Make the food colourful and inviting.
4. Keep Trying; After the hardwork that goes into preparing a meal and your toddler just spits it out. Very frustrating right!!!! I know.
Don't give up.
Keep trying and you will be surprised it will become their best food.
5. Keep Calm; Toddlers test everything out, most especially our patience.
When you want to cry or shout, remember patience.
All the very best as we try to feed our kids with healthy meals.
Would appreciate your contributions and comments.

DeleteMy aunt has 4kids and I remeber whenever it was meal time,she would end up crying throughout cos she ca spend 2hours and they will end up eating just half of what's in the plate. It wasn't funny and it got me really scared o.lol. But she was very patient. Sometimes they would even throw up the little they have eaten,and she would start from the beginning.Motherhood is really a BIG DEAL. Hmmmmmm! God have mercy!God bless all the mums out there! Am learning!
