WHEN A CHILD WON'T EAT!!!!!!!

Meal times becomes more difficult as toddlers grow. This tend to happen as they gain independence and develope personalities. Although this could be very frustrating for a parent, It is a normal phase in a toddler development. Will be sharing some ways to cope; 1. Be a good role model; Eat the foods you are encouraging them to eat. 2. Prepare for a messy meal time; Don't expect much food to get into their mouth at once. Bit by bit. 3. Make meal fun; Pancakes could be made in shapes, plantain could be fried in different shapes for easy finger foods. Make the food colourful and inviting. 4. Keep Trying; After the hardwork that goes into preparing a meal and your toddler just spits it out. Very frustrating right!!!! I know. Don't give up. Keep trying and you will be surprised it will become their best food. 5. Keep Calm; Toddlers test everything out, most especially our patience. When you want to cry or shout, remember patience. All the very best as we try

* Getting It Back Together*

Hello beautiful people!!!!! Welcome to a great week. Today we shall be looking at how to get back into shape after baby. Yes!!! We have to get it back together..*winks* Getting back into shape shouldn't be about the pressure to lose weight.  It should be about returning to your body and your soul. Getting back to a strong, healthy and energetic place. It took you nine months to put the weight on. Give yourself at least nine months to get it off. Be patient with yourself and your body. Some of the things to consider are; 1. Genetics; your genes have a lot to play in this. Different people, Different genes. Don't compare yourself rather understand your gene then find out the best way to go about it. 2. Start Early; After your post natal check usually after six weeks, you can gradually begin a light routine. Walking is a wonderful exercise and you can also begin other forms of exercise put please do check in with your doctor before starting. 3. Eat healthy;

COUPLES FORUM (1).

Hello Lovelies, Here are some beautiful quotes; 1. Successful marriages are those where both husband and wife seek to build the self esteem of the other. 2. A marriage may be made in heaven but the maintainance must be done on earth. 3. Some situations becomes big problems if allowed to grow. Don't make mountains out of mole hills. 4. The essence of getting married is to have deep and lasting companionship. Build towards this. 5. Like glue the strength of your Bond can only be appreciated, After resisting the pressures that tries to pull you apart. Be Encouraged!  6. Build your partners confidence by promoting their strength, good points and things they excel in. ** Show your partner by your words and actions that they are important**. Remember "Love is a Verb". Help! Help!!!!!!!

Image
                                    Hello lovelies, it's another great week. I have an interesting and interactive topic today and the picture above explains it all. What do you do when you can't see where the relationship is going?? Relationship as we all know is a beautiful thing but when you sit back and you can't see the future of the relationship, what do you do? Here is what I suggest; 1. Communicate; Communication cannot be over emphasized in a relationship Yes! You have to talk and talk no Assumption. Communication simply put is the act or process of using, words, signs, behaviours to express your ideas, thought, feelings etc. to someone else. When you can't see where the relationship is going, have a heart to heart talk with your partner. Don't hold back let it flow. 2. Counselling; Seek Help from professionals, your pastors or elders you both respect. It isn't a case of who is "wrong" or "right" but

Immunization Experience.

Image
                                     So I came across this picture on Facebook and I smiled  #memories#. A nurse once told me that children don't feel pain only discomfort and the mothers are the ones who make them panic. Do you agree? My first immunization experience with my son was indeed memorable. It was his 6wks, he cried a bit after the injection and I was like Yipee!!! The phase is over. However the celebration didn't last long because few hours after we got home, he started crying so much that he was also running temperature and lifting a leg. Hehehehe at that point I was officially confused. I had to consciously calm myself so I don't panic. After administering paracetamol for babies, dabbing his leg with a wet towel, singing, moving around trying to soothe him. He slept off on my chest and that was his sleeping position till the next day.  Mother's love is indeed unconditional. Fourty Weeks has Never Been This Long.....

The journey into motherhood is quite an interesting journey. This is because everyone has a unique experience. The most common things are the emotions which we feel. This ranges from excitement, happiness, anxiety, fear, joy,uncertainty,unconditional love....             The list is endless. First pregnancy is always fun besides the morning sickness, restlessness, tiredness e.t.c. The fun part is knowing that after the process you would hold your cute little one. The amount of care, love and attention you receive is Priceless. Everyone wants to know how you are doing. The calls, advice, food, attention e.t.c. You know the feeling right *winks*. Pls enjoy it because as the kids increase in number 2nd,3rd,4th.... Hahaha you just might be surprised. The first trimester usually seems to be the hardest, the changes going through your body and the adapting process hmmmmmmh.... Its for a Good Cause, Keep Pushing. The second trimester on the other hand is much more fun because y
